Stimulus or Con?

My Congressmen are Representative John Linder and Senator Saxby Chambliss. I sent Saxby Chambliss a message by voting Libertarian in the recent election, despite the risk of putting the race into a runoff (which it did) where I was eventually able to vote for him in good conscience. The message was, “Don’t vote ‘yes’ to any more of those ridiculous Democrat Party con-game expenditures.” I plan on sending John Linder a message as well this weekend – a message of encouragement – by attending his town hall meeting in Loganville.

This so-called “economic recovery act” has made me fairly angry at all the dems and their boss, our new president. I would rather have, as Obama dishonestly stated, a “the same tired arguments and worn ideas that helped to create this crisis” over the new, outrageous con that is poised to inflame this crisis. We are being conned, plain and simple. If H.R. 1 gets rejected, Obama will experience a “catastrophe” – of political credibility – but the nation itself would have avoided one. This plan is bad for America.
